The collection creates a series of artworks based on the topic of nature, which comes from the traditional mountain stone art genre but innovates on top of that to obtain a new sense of aesthetic experience. The mountain figure series explores it as individual character, echoing with the traditional spirit of awing the nature. The geometrical organization also trace back to the typology of Indian stupa and Chinese temples. These series of the mountain sculptures are revisiting this awing spirit of the nature from a distance.

Mountain clouds is the “art trace” Ziwei created for Swatch Art Peace Hotel. It falls under her consistent research and creation on mountain typology. The installation is interested not only in the specific shapes recreating from the nature, but more importantly the interactive space it created from its module play.It adapts from pure circle geometry on plan and morphs into three dimensional “mountain cave” space.The inspiration comes from traditional taihushi painting in Chinese literature and mountain cave formation. The art innovates on the vernacular types and transforms into spatial constructible form smartly fabricated through 3d printing technology. The spatial quality brings a unique experience to people beyond scale restrictions. The module fabrication idea takes inspiration from the natural stone piling and takes the full potential to grow into a much bigger spatial impact. The delicate perforated and porous patterns also explores the ambiguous boundary within space, which echoes with the poetic vagueness in Chinese shanshui painting.

Mountain wave is a spatial poem that illustrates the relationship between natural waves and the figure encountering with it. It dances between the conception between nature object and roof artifacts.

这是在2020年初与scope gallery 合作位于纽约东城区的第一展，策展团队来自哈佛的建筑师们，我们的展览主题是写意， 意在要一种开放的心态接受事物的即兴组合和搭配, 以一种更加多元的眼光看待周围的世界。

作为策展人， 我们把建筑理解成一种极具张力的手法，可以打破固有的事物模版和印象并且重塑事物之间的联系，创造出充满新鲜却有巧合感的空间及事件。这一次我们以建筑的手法解构了经典文化符号（山海经和西游记），解构了传统山水间的此起彼落，让这些具象的传统的文化符号可以通过抽象进行重宿，真正变成精彩的栖居空间和强烈感染力的每日生活物件。我们希望大家可以拥抱事物之间巧妙的通感性，享受万亩山水跃于眼前的惊喜。

There is a saying: “When destiny has a sense of humor,it is called serendipity”. We borrowed this sense of humor in curating the exhibition and creating the artworks. We recreate the nature to the unexpected for people to wear, to encounter and to live in. We promote a cohesive lifestyle from daily product, fashion and architecture.

We make architecture achievable, perceptible and digestible through other medium and format, promoting an awareness to embrace aesthetics to its most experiential level.

This digital project aims to explore the intersection between traditional culture and digital medium. It takes the context of Dunhuang Cave 321, the north wall of the pure land to reconstruct its spatial characteristics and potentials. The north wall --- the blissful world of pure land contrasts with the south wall of eschatological landscape. The digital artworks takes the element from the cave murals and recreate the architectural prototypes and further recreate them into spontaneous spatial orders according to the storyline of the cave.

Allston Grove Competition 2017

The project aims to create an ambiance of forest and cloud at the Allston grove corner. It intends to establish “Allston corner” as another vibrant urban node in the bigger Boston area. The adjacent grove park provides a resting space for community , but lacking artistic and cultural destination to attract people. The Forest
installation, continues the grove ambiance with dappled light, provides a platform for surrounding community to play, explore, interact , linger and return. The height variated modules with polished slim columns bring in the refreshed atmosphere of natural forests to the site , making it a unique urban destination to embrace and
experiment. The reflected ceilings attract people to take selfies, observe cityscape and celebrate cultural events as well as live music shows. The central gathering space open to the sky is flexible for launching various activities, with such active and accessible architectural setting. The groundscape introduces the possibility
of a grass/sod layer, better engaging people with the natural environment. People could sit and play on the ground, watching live shows or appreciating art exhibition.The forest module consists of column and round plate at the top. There are two
module types, one with three slim columns and one with a bigger central column.The central column provides the possibility of LED light or fluorescent finish at thetop, glowing the ceiling and environment with color and vitality in the night.
In the daytime, people walks into the cloud forest to linger, explore and rest. In the night, the cloud forest is transformed into colored urban-scape for shows and entertainment. It aims to create maximum flexibility and vitality for Allston community.

The project takes the idea from Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale The princess and pea. The princess slept on the bed, and with 18 layers of bedding she still felt the existence of a pea. We transfer the layering and deforming idea from the fairytale into the spatial design of the project. Regarding the human sculpture as the pea, the wall around it was deformed accordingly to the parameter of distance as rippling water effect. As the visitor travel through the wall exhibition, he or she could feel the deformation of the wall to realize how close to the human sculpture. From the outside, visitors have no idea where is the pea and they have to sense it through traveling the walls to find the biggest ripple deformation.

In the course of the twenty-first century, the application of computer-aided design (CAD) and digital fabrication has radically pushed forward the boundaries of traditional architectural construction. Technological and industrial innovations have increased the possibilities for ceramics to achieve complex geometries in a mass-production manner. On the other hand, the current design practice for ceramic decorative facade system is still mostly restricted to the method of stacking or vertical aggregation. Cost and time constraints from mold making, as well as the particular nature of ceramic material property, leaves the spatial quality of decorative ceramic units remain undiscovered. This paper presents an integrated design and digital fabrication workflow for a customized 3D ceramic facade system. Several prototypes of fabrication method are examined, followed by an evaluation of each method and its potential for industrial mass production. The resulting design-to-manufacturing process was tested during the generation of a prototypical facade system for a canopy.
